A CONVERSATION WITH FRED BRONSON

Welcome back Trek fans to a special, bumper length episode, the next in our series of interviews with people of note from the Trek universe. The phrases "renaissance man" and "hardest working person in showbiz" are cliches, but this episode we are talking to a man for whom neither of these phrases even seems like enough, the legendary and charming Fred Bronson. Fred is a huge Star Trek fan and wrote (or co-wrote) episodes of The Animated Series & The Next Generation. He has contributed two things to franchise canon; the character of Robert April and "oo-mox". He was also very close friends with Gene Roddenberry himself, and appears as an extra in The Motion Picture. We spend just over an hour talking Trek. But there is far more to Mr. Bronson than that; a music journalist, fellow comic book geek, sci-fi fan, Eurovision Song Contest judge/mega-fan, author & more. We contemplated making this into more than one episode but honestly once you start listening to these stories you are not going to want to stop, a truly legendary life. So if you want to hear about meeting multiple mega-stars, loving ABBA, unmade scripts, visiting Steve Ditko at Marvel, being yelled at as a youth by William Shatner and MUCH more then this episode is for you. We understand if you break this episode up to listen to it but as Mike, D.K and (generously) Fred himself all state it does not feel like two hours and the time flies by.
