In this episode, I'll explore our profound connection with food and uncover the hidden risks of overindulging in junk and processed foods. Food is at the heart of our lives, connecting us through traditions and celebrations. However, it's a sobering fact that heart disease, dementia, and cancer are on the rise due to poor nutrition. Recent studies even link Alzheimer's to diabetes, emphasizing the role of insulin resistance. I will also touch on how junk and processed foods contribute to poor health. Despite this, medical schools allocate minimal time to nutritional education, leaving many doctors with poor knowledge. Knowing the difference between real food and processed products can transform our health. It's not about complete abstinence but understanding the difference between indulgence and self-sabotage.

Every week, we're jumping headfirst into the insanity of healthy eating, fad diets, and fitness mumbo jumbo. I'm here to cut through the crap, no sugarcoating, maybe a bit of oversharing, and unfortunately the odd bad pun.

And, don't forget to hit that like button and subscribe. It's painless, I promise. Your support keeps this podcast alive! So, do it now, and let's keep this show on the road. Let's build a community of Meatbag misfits!
