SHOW NOTES

Episode # 18

Description: It’s the end of a new year!  That means a new slate and a new beginning.  In this episode I will be sharing my weekly meal plan and give you strategies in creating your last ever meal plan, as you can rinse and repeat!  We are going to work smarter, not harder!  I’ll introduce you to the 5- meal method again to give you ease and simplicity as you head into the New year!

Steps to complete the last meal plan you will ever need:

  1. Write your fav 30 recipe list.  Be sure to include your fam jam!

  2. Take out your agenda and pencil in all your activities, events and plans

  3. Take your list and separate into categories of protein

  4. Then go through and pick 1-2 recipes per category, until you have 5 delicious meals and write them down.

  5. Write out ALL the ingredients for the 5 recipes and check your pantry, fridge and freezer for inventory.  Cross off what you have and add what you need.  Be sure to include breaky, lunch and snack staples

  6. Create a grocery list and either click and collect, have them delivered or go to the store and shop.

Weekly Meal Plan:

Monday - New Year’s Day- French toast with whipping cream and fruit

Tuesday- Broccoli and sausage skillet- Cut up and cook the sausage. Prepare the rice.  Cook frozen broccoli. Combine and sprinkle with cheese, add salt and pepper to taste

Wednesday- Sloppy Joes-Ground turkey and sloppy joe mix.  Brown turkey add mix and serve with buns

Thursday - Turkey Club Wrap

Friday -Chicken Drumsticks and Rice

Saturday - Spaghetti

Sunday - Chicken Noodle Soup

Other tips to save time and energy:

  • Carve out time to prep and plan

  • Double batch where you can. Ie. double mashed potatoes, rice and ground beef

  •  Pantry fridge, freezer shop and use what you have

  • Didn’t make all your meals you planned-no biggie, make them this week

  •  Let your gadgets do the hard work for you

  •  Multi-task where you can

  • What are a couple simple things you can prep for breakfast, lunch even dinner

  • Keep a sink of soapy water to wash and rinse as you go-saves time on clean up
