Now why did I call this a part of speech?
because verb is one of those 8 Parts of speech which help us to make a sentence . And verb is one of them.
A verb is a word that describes an action, an event or state of being.

A finite verb is a form of a verb that (a) shows agreement with a subject and
(b) changes as per the tense.
Finite verbs are sometimes called main verbs
If there is just one verb in a sentence, that verb is finite.

Non Finite verbs don't have any agreement with the subject. That is they are not limited as per the change in subject or tense of subject. It doesn't change as per tense, or as per person, or as per number. do not perform any action in the sentence.
