Kathryn Lovewell is the founder of Kind Mind Academy, award-winning international speaker and best-selling author specialising in Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) for children, women, and families. A certified MSC teacher, professional speaker and author of "The Little Book of Self-Compassion," "The Voices in My Head!" and "Every Teacher Matters, Inspiring Well-being through Mindfulness."
As the creator of 'The Booster Way,’ Kathryn has developed this innovative and unparalleled approach to help children, families and educators to cultivate lifelong skills to respond to themselves and painful life situations with wisdom, compassion and understanding. From the likes of overcoming feelings of
self-doubt, imposter syndrome, facing our inner critical voice, and the need to embrace our imperfections.
Kathryn's early career in Drama and Art Secondary education extended to teaching in juvenile women and adult male prisons, where she developed a ground-breaking Mindful Stress Management course. She has taught across the learning spectrum in both formal and community settings throughout her career. Since 2008, she has pioneered emotional health and well-being programmes in schools and Group Homes, transforming the lives of students, teachers, and education leaders across the UK, USA, and Australia.
Kathryn has developed and teaches another trailblazing provision called Compassionate Body, a transformative programme inspiring women to make friends with their body. She also offers bespoke Compassion Consciousness Coaching in her private practices.
