On Mary's lap is sleeping?
Whom Angels greet with anthems sweet,
While shepherds watch are keeping?
This, this is Christ the King,
Whom shepherds guard and Angels sing
Haste, haste, to bring Him laud,
The Babe, the Son of Mary

Why do you think the circumstances of Jesus’ birth are so significant? By sacrificing His own life, what did Christ do for us that we could never do for ourselves? What does that mean to you personally? How does the fact that Jesus was “one of us,” affect your relationship with Him? How has the promise of Christ’s return given you hope in your daily life? How have you responded to Christ’s knock on the door of your heart? How has that affected your life? How can you celebrate that this Christmas season and throughout the year?
