In John 5 there is a small miracle that Jesus performs that is wrapped up in 16 verses. At first glance it doesn't seem to have rhyme or reason as to why Jesus would do the miracle. The man wasn't looking for Jesus, nor did it seem that he even knew who he was. Why did Jesus pick this man to heal when in the end he didn't even seem grateful or even want to know Jesus name?
