Pre-Market Report – Wednesday 12 March: US markets fall again | Volatility continues

US stocks closed lower on Tuesday after a volatile session, extending their losses from Monday.

The S&P 500 slipped 0.76%, closing at 5,572.07. The Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbled 478.23 points, or 1.14%, finishing at 41,433.48. The Nasdaq Composite slipped 0.18% and ended at 17,436.10.

ASX SPI fell 75 - Gold rallies - Tariffs hit Australia - Commodity prices rally slightly.
