A strong day with the ASX 200 up 46 points to 7023. Good economic data coupled with strong US leads and some M&A activity helping. CAA bid for by PE rising 20% and Z1P in a trading halt following yesterdays rise and a capital raise through a convertible. US Bank results beckon. Gold miners in demand with NST up 4.5% leading the pack.
