Manifest Podcast 018 - extraKt Originally from the suburbs of Glasgow, the extraKt moniker was developed in 2009 as an output for music largely influenced by a love of percussion and uptempo beats, with early techno influences involving the sounds of Utility Plastics, Thomas Krome, The Advent and Patrik Skoog to name but a few. Releasing the K001 EP on M_REC in April 2009, extraKt has went on to record remixes for such artists as Dominik Muller, Doktrin and Mr. Mau and has had releases on Limetree, Return Records and TrusT Recordings. Supporting the provision and access to upfront quality techno, extraKt has been involved in the tri-album TrusT Recordings project which aims to supply a platform for artists to “..generously offer tracks and artwork as they so wish, providing an output which is both a wide and extensive range of electronic musical expressions.” The latest TrusT Recordings album, entitled “Rememberance”, is due for imminent release.
