Matt Goodwin is a professor of politics at the University of Kent and the author most recently of Values, Voice and Virtue: The New British Politics. We spoke about what Matt describes as the ‘new elite’ and their enormous power over British institutions, why no one wants to be described as a member of this new elite, and why the Conservatives could yet be overtaken by a new populist Right party.
