Have you tried to meditate, but feel like “nothing happens” when you do? Would you love to know how to recognize when you are in the Divine Presence? This episode is for you!

Paramhansa Yogananda taught that there are eight aspects to the Divine, which I call the ‘eight experiences of God.’ If you experience any one of these, you are in direct contact with the Divine!

In this episode, I share what these eight ways are, and guide you through a simple meditation to help you experience one of them. I will give you a hint: relaxation is the key to experiencing all eight!

I’d love to hear about your experience with this simple way of connecting, and if you have your own way that works for you! And don’t forget to check out my Kindle Book, How to Recognize God (just .99 on Amazon) which includes a free guided meditation MP3 to help you experience all eight aspects of God.

Key learnings:

  1. There are eight ways you can experience the Divine Presence. They are peace, calmness, joy, love, wisdom, power, light and sound.
  2. Any one of these experiences means that “something is happening,” and you have in fact “entered the gates” of the inner Holy Land
  3. The key is not to judge your experience when meditating. If you are attached to “seeing something” or “hearing something” you may miss the actual experience you are having. By diving deeply into the pool of peace, you can become completely Self-Realized, and peace is the easiest aspect of the Divine to experience.

“Peace is one of the eight ways to experience the Divine, and also the easiest. Whenever you meditate and feel even just a little peace, know that you have crossed over into your inner Holy Land. The kingdom of God is within you.”
