#11 - Making Tracks with Julie: 4WD Adventures, the Aussie Bush & Wildlife Care

Julie shares her passion for off-roading, her love for wildlife as a dedicated WIRES volunteer, and her vast knowledge of Australia’s bushlands.

Julie and her husband, John, founded Getabout almost 30 years ago with a vision rooted in family values and a love for the great outdoors. They’ve built a business that’s taken them—and their 4WD training courses—across Australia and around the world, with clients from China to Germany, Dubai to Finland. Now a thriving team of over 40 expert instructors, Getabout is committed to being a Centre of Excellence for on and offroad driver education.

In this episode, Julie gives us a glimpse into some of her favourite spots in the Lithgow area and the beauty that lies just beyond our doorstep. She also shares the inspiring story of how Getabout grew from a passion project into a leading business, helping Aussies gain the skills and confidence to explore responsibly.
