Have you ever been hurt or perhaps felt so much emotional pain that you thought your heart was going to stop?
If you did, then congratulations for not staying at that low place, no matter how you got up, bravo on doing so. You see when you walk around being your best self, people think you have no issues, in fact, they will even assume that you might never have had it hard based on how you carry yourself. What they fail to understand is, we all have our highs and lows, and some of us understood that you do not have to let your lows define you. Just because you are going through a phase does not mean you have to look miserable or better yet be broken at all times. I mean that has become such a paradigm, when people see you smile they think you know nothing of the harshness of life, and when they don’t see you spend nor waste yourself in shallow things, they think you don’t know how to have fun or enjoy life. Little do they know that not only do you know of the harshness of life, you know how to have fun as well. Choosing how, where, and when to do so is however the difference between you and them. You embrace your days with the wisdom you got out of the hard times you went through, better yet overcame. Your strength came from enduring and your character got polished, grew in a defined and mature way.
Life is going to come at you, frankly, people will too. What you have to decide is if you will be a victor or a victim, do you want to just go through hard times or grow through them? It's up to the thought process you adopt, beware!
