I used to think that binge eating was purely psychological...that something deeper was wrong with me.  

In the depths of my binge eating, I would start the day fasted, or with a bulletproof coffee (as I heard both helped with weight loss), and when I did eat, I was trying all of these different diets at the time in desperate attempt to lose the weight.

Inevitably, I would binge eat in the evening, and feel completely ashamed and regretful, promising myself that I wouldn't do it again...

...Only to repeat the cycle the following night.
