In a “Jesus Is Savior” commentary entitled: “Biblical Proof Of A Pretribulation Rapture,” they write that: “God will not allow the Church to go through the Tribulation Period; for it will be a time of atrocities as the world has never known!  In foretelling example, God would not destroy the wicked in Noah’s day until Noah and his family were all safely aboard the ark.  Not one drop of rain fell until Noah and his family were on the ark, and God had shut the door.  Afterwards, the rains fell and the wicked were utterly destroyed.  

The same is true of Lot and his family. In Genesis 19:22, we read the words of the angel sent by God to warn His servant of the destruction which was about to come upon Sodom and Gomorrah: “Hurry, escape there, for I cannot do anything until you arrive there.” And Lot and his family, but for his wife who looked back with regretful longing and was turned into a pillar of salt, escaped to Sichem before the destruction fell.

The angel’s words were spoken just prior to the fire and brimstone which was about to reign down upon the lawless evildoers.  Likewise, the Church will be taken away from this sin-cursed world before the Tribulation judgement comes upon it.

While mockers continue to deny the hope of His Coming, there is a crown of righteousness waiting for those who long for His appearing (2 Timothy 4:8).  And those who are fully trusting in His Word, and His Coming, will not be disappointed.
