In a commentary written for “Christian Evidence” they note that: “According to Scripture, the greatest religious leader in history – the Antichrist’s right hand man (a.k.a. as the False Prophet) – will arise from Rome to [lure] humanity to worship the Antichrist and deceive countless people near the time of Christ’s Return.

The False Prophet is the leader of the false church [revealed as the “Harlot”] in Revelation 17:1-5, and there is strong evidence that this false church is the Roman Catholic Church.  Thus, it is highly likely that the Pope [who will be] in charge of the Catholic Church at the end is the False Prophet who works with the Antichrist throughout the Tribulation period.

From a prophetic standpoint, out of all the popes who have come and gone in the past century, Jorge Mario Bergoglio a.k.a. Pope Francis who became Pontiff of the Catholic Church on the 13th of March, 2013, has accomplished more in [the short time he has ruled] than all these popes combined!”

Discernment mandates that we pay strict attention to the actions of Roman Catholicism’s current Pontiff in order to remain separate unto Holiness, and to stand strong in our contending for the unadulterated Word of God’s Truth!
