Welcome to Day 40 of the Pentecast on LOVECHURCH — The Podcast. Today, Tim is joined by Prue Bedwell to reflect on the towering theological masterpiece that is Romans chapter 8 — often called the Everest of the New Testament.
From its bold opening — “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” — to its triumphant finale — “Nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” — this chapter is a sweeping celebration of the gospel.
Prue highlights how often we walk under self-condemnation, forgetting that God does not condemn us. Instead, we are adopted into his family, led by his Spirit, and completely secure in his love. This isn’t just head knowledge or abstract theology — it’s about knowing deep down that we are children of God.
Tim reminds us that being a Christian is not merely about believing the right things — it’s about experiencing God’s Spirit leading us, day by day. The challenge is to live like we truly are God’s children, asking for a fresh filling of the Spirit and embracing our identity in him.
Join them in praying for a deeper awareness of God’s love today — especially for anyone feeling shame or condemnation. You are not alone. You are not unloved. You are his.
See you tomorrow for Day 41.
