It’s day 3 of our daily Pentecast on LOVECHURCH — The Podcast. Today’s guest is Ella Jenkinson, who usually works with the Spear Programme but is stepping in today to explore a weighty chunk of Genesis — chapters 4 to 9.

Tim and Ella unpack two major stories: Cain and Abel, and Noah and the ark. It’s a deep dive into broken trust, the reality of sin, and the hope found in God’s mercy and salvation. Ella reflects on Noah’s posture of walking closely with God — even when it must’ve felt strange and isolating — and Tim highlights the combination of divine grace and human obedience that led to Noah’s family being saved. The ark becomes a picture of salvation, not just from floodwaters but from the brokenness of the world, pointing forward to the rescue we find in Jesus.
