JUST TO SAY: We have three theatre groups in South Gippsland - Leongatha, Wonthaggi and Foster. We take a look behind the scenes at the audition process, the background roles, the musicians, and the whole team that do what it takes to bring a performance to life. After talking with Bron Beach and learning what community theatre brings to her life, it’s inspiring. It's fascinating to hear which aspects she loves the most, and the heart and determination behind the scenes. …. And if you've ever thought about adding more community into your life, joining a theatre group could provide this and more.

It's a huge pleasure speaking with the bright and colourful Bron Beach. A Korumburra local, hear how she's transformed her life from a childhood of poverty, to being a powerful community advocate and a voice for others. Bron devotes her time to roles in drug and alcohol programs, as well as being a Shire Councillor. But I heard about Bron through another role she has, as President of the Leongatha Lyric Theatre.
Join me as we throw back the curtains on the 'crazy' musical atmosphere of the award-winning Lyric Theatre. Bron fosters an inclusive, diverse culture for seasoned performers, and for newcomers who summon the courage to step on stage - and shows them what it is to be valued. The theatre's an empowering and expressive space for all, as they together create an atmosphere of joy for audiences to experience.
A SNEAK PEAK
Bron's personal values: Authenticity, being a life-long learner, and "kindness - always kindness".
