Outspoken Bean

I had the honor of interviewing Houston's very own Poet Laureate, Outspoken Bean, who has been a performance poet for more than a decade. He is also a teacher at Writers in the Schools and a coach for Meta-Four Houston Youth Poetry Slam Team. In this episode, we discuss the early days of his career, learning and growing alongside other incredible spoken word poets, and his journey to becoming Houston's fifth Poet Laureate.
