Why is this important?

  • Breast cancer Is the #1 cancer that affect women and #1 cause of cancer related death in women worldwide. In the US, a woman has a 1 in 8 change of getting breast cancer. Specifically, African Americans have over a 30% breast cancer mortality which is the highest among any of the U.S. racial or ethnic groups (42% higher compared to white women).
  • SCREENING SCREENING SCREENING is very important.
  • Risk Assessment with you primary physician should start at 35 years old if you have no family history. 
  • If you have family history, discuss with your physician because it may likely be earlier.
