Who Fills in for Joel Eriksson Ek?

On today's episode of Locked on Wild, Alex Micheletti joins the show as we examine the Wild's options at center while Joel Eriksson Ek is out of the lineup. We start by looking at the Blues dealing with COVID-19 issues to start the week, and the Wild now being the only team in the NHL without a player currently in the protocol. We preview the matchup and why this is still a tough matchup for the Wild even if it isn't the same Blues team that handled the Wild last year.

We then discuss whether or not the Wild should acquire a center to fill Joel Eriksson Ek's spot in the lineup, or if they should shuffle in house options. Alex states his case for a return to previous line combinations, which is probably the most likely option for the Wild to go with. We look at whether or not Marco Rossi should be called up, and why Bill Guerin is continuing to stick to his plan despite the rash of injuries.
