Should the Wild Trade Matt Dumba or Kevin Fiala?

On today's episode of Locked on Wild, we look at the pros and cons of trading Kevin Fiala or Matt Dumba to free up cap space in the offseason. We start by looking at Dumba, and with Dumba he brings production on the ice and leadership that can't really be quantified. We discuss his work off the ice, and how he helps drive play up the ice and is a big reason why the Wild have some of the most prolific scoring defensive lines in the NHL. We also look at how Dumba's own numbers have started to rebound this year. We discuss the pros to a trade, including his cap hit and Calen Addison being ready to fill his lineup spot right now.

We move to Kevin Fiala, who has shown his dynamic scoring touch once again this year. We look at the cons of trading him, including his chemistry with Matt Boldy, and his ability to carry the team when he gets on a hot stretch. We look at his improvements on the Penalty Kill, as well as his willingness to take coaching from Dean Evason and bounce back. On the pros side we discuss Fiala's tendency to have cold spells in his goal scoring, and whether or not an extension would lead to his numbers slipping.
