The Minnesota Wild suffered their second consecutive shutout as they lost 3-0 to Boston to finish their 5 game road trip 3-2. The Wild had a better effort than their previous game against Ottawa, but the offense couldn't generate enough quality chances against Jeremy Swayman, who held the Wild off the board. After a scoreless 1st period, Boston scored twice in the second period on goals from Trent Frederic and Charlie McAvoy to take control. Despite a flurry of chances late, the Wild could not put one on the board. The Wild did not surrender a Power Play goal, but did not score in 4 Power Play attempts and a 6 on 5 at the end of the game. The Wild fell to 20-7-3 on the road, and 31-19-4 on the season. The Wild return home to face Carolina on Thursday.
