Is Trading Up in the Draft this Year Worth the Cost?

On today's episode of Locked on Wild, Jayden Homuth joins the show as we look at potential costs of moving up toward the top 10 in this year's NHL Draft. We discuss ideas from The Athletic about moving Marco Rossi and the 21st overall pick to try to move up to 11, and whether or not it would be worthwhile for the Wild to try to do so. We look at potential costs to move higher up being too much, and look at the overall issue for the Wild being that they don't commit to being bad enough to draft near the top to get a franchise changing prospect. We also discuss the potential that the Wild deal from an area of depth, which would be their defensemen prospect pool, to acquire more forward depth. And we finish by looking at a couple of Center rich teams who may be looking to move one for the right price.
