How will the Wild Fare in the Opening Month of the Season?

On today's episode of Locked on Wild, Zach Zeman joins us as we dive into the opening month of the season! We start by previewing the first two opponents for the Wild, the Florida Panthers and Toronto Maple Leafs. Seth and Zach both predict a split in the first two games. We then discuss the next three games featuring the Montreal Canadiens, Los Angeles Kings and Columbus Blue Jackets presenting an opportunity for the Wild to build some early success, especially if they can take care of business against Los Angeles. Zach predicts 2-1 in that stretch while Seth is feeling bold and predicts 3-0. We finish the month with Edmonton, followed by Philadelphia, Washington and New Jersey. Seth and Zach both predict 2-2 for a grand total of 6-3 in October. Seth and Zach both discuss their prediction for Locked on Wild Player of the Month, with both picking Kirill Kaprizov after he was named Alternate Captain for the 2023-24 season!
