As we take this fun trip down memory lane together, let's take some time to remember how truly AMAZING Tatum Bell was while rocking America's Brightest Orange! After falling in love with the open, honest & natural presentation by then Oklahoma State University DC & Future NFL Living Legend himself Rob Ryan during an impromptu unannounced campus visit. After the Desoto Texas & 4* Top Shelf RB ran for 1,225 on a very painful hip pointer injury, bum ankle and a bum shoulder his senior year of High School he ultimately chose Oklahoma State over heavy hitters of the day like Nebraska, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas aTm & Kansas State. After quietly acquiring almost 300 yards as a Bob Simmons led Freshman, he then truly burst on the new 2001 Les Miles led scene in 2001! Pumping out 1,025 yards with 8TD's in 2001 was big... But not big enough for the Texas Speed Star. So he said "Hey Stilly, Hold me beer and watch this" how's about a 2002 answer of 1,452 and 15 TD's? Nah, Ok, Bet. 2003's 1,528 yards with 19 TD's was the perfect answer! Along side future OState & NFL stalwarts like Josh Fields, Sam Mayes, Rashaun Woods, Greg Richmond, Antonio Smith, Darrent Williams, Vernon Grant, Kevin Williams, Charlie Johnson & John Lewis, Tatum Bell helped the new era of Oklahoma State expectations become what we see today. Without Tatum Bell we have no Kendall Hunter, Dantrell Savage, Keith Toston, Jeremy Smith, Tyreek Hill, Chris Carson, Justice Hill, Chuba Hubbard, Jaylen Warren, Jaden Nixon, Ollie Gordon or C.J. Brown! His #41 over all draft Pick helped kick the door open for all those young men after him! His Denver Broncos playoff runs and 3,499 yards in the worlds biggest & bad-est league alive, the machine fed monster of the NFL should be remembered, as it should be revived as well because he's got some future D1 starter caliber kid's coming up through the Track & Football game. We need to take notice of his greatness because his kid's will soon have us kicking ourselves for sleeping on the Legacy. Darrent Williams greatness needs to be remembered, Vernon Grant's bulldog fighter mentality needs to be remembered because much like the All Time #7 great's kid's hold our future... so do those young men! We are cowboy's forever! Hopefully these young OG Names will run hollowed the tunnels of Lewis Field, or shall I say The House that BOONE BUILT. Boone Pickens Stadium.
