Oklahoma State - Old School Football Is Back In Stillwater

Go back and watch how creative & aggressive the offense used to be in the 2000's. Read the list of 1K yard & NFL RB's that have literally ran through Mike Gundy's system during is time in Stillwater as an OC/HC. Reggie White, Tatum Bell, Vernand Morency, Dantrell Savage, Keith Toston, Kendall Hunter, Joeseph Randle, Justice Hill, Chuba Hubbard & Jaylen Warren. This isn't even including the day's of Tyreek Hill & Chris Carson toting the rock inside Boone Pickens Stadium. Heck, this isn't even including him having the luxury of handing the ball off to Thurman Thomas & Barry Sanders. Mike Gundy has always fancied a dominate running game. Due to some recruiting & size limitations we found a way to shift everything to focusing on speed and quickness in 2010. After producing several All American WR's over the years our identity, up until 2021 has always been a fun, high flying track meet on fake grass. Obviously 2021 is the "new" Old School blueprint that he dreams about at night. This shift to acquiring more nasty fellas with size playing on pure instinct's & wreck less intentions could be a breath of fresh air. Even if it's an old breath, it's a new breath none the less.
