Derek Mason Steps Aside At Oklahoma State For Coaching Sabbatical + Jacie Hoyt

Oklahoma State defensive coordinator Derek Mason was a massive off-season acquisition in Stillwater OK for 2022. He's a very big loss for 2023. But sometimes it's about the Jimmy's & the Joe's instead of the X's and the O's. And with the undeniable talent permeating through the defensive locker room this leadership and core nucleus of tenured coaches like Dan Hammerschmidt, Joe Bob Clements, Greg Richmond & Tim Duffie should in theory be able to keep this ship afloat again regardless of replacement options. With guy's like Xavier Benson, Colin Oliver, Justin Wright, Ladarius Webb Jr, Korie Black, Lyrik Rawls, Trey Rucker & Nick Martin still extremely excited to be leading the charge into the 2023 season. We. Should. Be. FINE! Still should never be content with anything less than 9 wins. Ever. We are that good. It's time we walked that way all across the entire Oklahoma State Athletic Village like we want to own the birth/sustained success right to our rightful Big 12 crown moving forward. O'brate Stadium is a top notch #1 ranked wonderous palace for baseball. Softball is humming along amazingly, Mike Boynton lands #9 basketball Recruiting Class into Gallagher-Iba Arena. Soccer is certified, Track is coming along nicely, Cross Country finished #2 & #4 respectively in the national championships. Tennis is on a tear, Women's Golf has reemerged, Men's Golf is under construction but always dangerous & we still control our own football destiny. Football drives the ship, and we definitely need more of those. Thing's that end in ship.
