Celtics POSTCAST- Al Horford & Derrick White Come Up Big in Win vs. Nuggets

The Celtics (42-18) held on for a 110-103 win over the Denver Nuggets Sunday afternoon at TD Garden. With the win, the Celtics avoided losing a 3rd straight game for the 1st time this season.  The Celtics won both regular season meetings with the Nuggets.  The Celtics were without Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday for the 2nd straight game.

Scoring Leaders: Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 22 Points.  Al Horford was in the starting lineup and went for 19 Points and 8 Rebounds.  Horford had a key steal and layup in the final minutes of the 4th Quarter.  Derrick White hit 5 3's and scored 17.  Jayson Tatum scored 16 Points in the win and also had 11 Rebounds and 7 Assists. Tatum went 4-for-15 from the field and 1-7 on 3's.  Denver had 3 players with 20 or more points. Jamal Murray scored 26 & Christian Braun scored 24.

#'s of the Night: The Celtics hit 14 3's in the win and just 4 in the 2nd Half.  Boston's streak of 15 straight games with 15 or more 3's ended with the win over Denver.  The Celtics are now 6-2 with Luke Kornet in the starting lineup this season.

1st-Half Nuggets: The Celtics led by 12 after the 1st Quarter and by 13 at the Half. Celtics never trailed in the 2nd Quarter and led by as many as 20. The Celtics knocked down 10 3's in the 1st 24 Minutes. Jaylen Brown scored 15 in the 1st Half and Al Horford chipped in with 13.  Payton Pritchard hit 3 3's and Sam Hauser added 2 3's off the Bench for the Celtics in the 1st Half.  The Nuggets were just 4-for-18 on 3's in the 1st Half.

Up Next: The Celtics are off for the next 2 nights and will play back-to-back nights at home against the Portland Trail Blazers and Philadelphia 76ers Wednesday and Thursday night in Boston.  The Celtics are 1-1 on their current 7-Game Homestand.  The Celtics close out their homestand vs. the OKC Thunder on Wednesday, March 12.
