In a new report from Shams Charania and his colleagues at The Athletic, details emerged of just how aggressively DeRozan was pursued by James and his inner circle, including multiple meetings at LeBron's home. But the Lakers, like the Clippers and many other big market teams, couldn't get the right pitch - along with the right workings from their front office - to make the deal happen. Arturas Karnisovas, Marc Eversley and the Bulls did. And that's a big freaking deal.
