Trail Blazers linked to Lu Dort + Why Portland has to trade the No. 7 pick

The Blazers have worked out a bunch of prospects in their draft range at the team's practice facility, including a recent group workout featuring Shaedon Sharpe and Jeremy Sochan. What do the collection of player's who have come through Portland mean for the Blazers heading into this week's NBA draft.

Finally, the Blazers want to be good this fall. That means they have to trade their draft pick. Whether they trade back in the round or out of the draft entirely the 7th pick is their best trade chip and not using it would likely indicate they aren't or can't achieve their goals of being immediately competitive.
