Damian Lillard drops 41, Portland Trail Blazers Beat Lakers to Improve to 3-0. This Team is FUN!

Damian Lillard had 41 points in back to back games over the weekend and the Portland Trail Blazers improved to 3-0 with wins over the Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings. Dame was sensational quieting any lingering concerns about what level of player he would be this season.

Both games came down to the wire and ended with game winning buckets by players that weren't Damian Lillard. Anfernee Simons downed the Suns with a righty runner and Jerami Grant sunk the Lakers with a driving finish in traffic. It's an important element to the beginning of the season as the team builds trust for everyone, not just Lillard, to have big moments in crunch time.

The third segment looks at what we've learned from the first three games. The defense looks much improved and passes the early eye test and the offense is a work in progress but the ideas behind what they're trying to do on that end make sense. It's coming together. This team is fun.
