So, you’re suddenly homeschooling – what now?

The global COVID-19 lockdown happened so fast no one really had time to prepare themselves for it. We’ll be talking to two seasoned home educators, Rachel Jones and Laura Burgess, and try to answer the many questions that are doubtless swirling around in your head. Like what does school at home look like and what if my child doesn’t want to do the work set by their school?

• Laura Burgess, a former staff member at Alpine Valley School and longtime homeschooler.
• Rachel Jones, mum of 4 boys and home educator of 11 years and now a staff member at East Kent Sudbury School.

• Marc: Father to an energetic five-year-old and two grown children, Marc has dedicated himself for many years to spreading the word of self-directed education. He currently works as a staff member at Alpine Valley School in Denver, Colorado USA.
• Kate: Mother of three boys.  Kate had been looking into alternative education after the public school system failed and damaged her son’s mental health. Kate is a staff member at East Kent Sudbury School in England. Kate also ran her own successful business for a number of years before deciding to home educate her own children
