Today in episode 10, I interview former Olympian, Krishna Stanton. Krishna represented Australia in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona in the 3000m. She is also a two-time Commonwealth Games representative in the 1994 Games in the 10,000m and the 2002 Games in the Marathon. Ironically, Krishna delves into why she reflects on the Commonwealth Games and even the Sydney City 2 Surf win in 1992 as arguably more meaningful experiences than her very proud achievement of the Olympic Games. Krishna is open about the challenges she experienced during her time as an athlete that makes her the person she is today. She also elaborates on the most rewarding aspect of the sport being the social side, its impact on mental health and simply the opportunity to continue to make the most of what you have as you get older too. So, enjoy hearing about the challenging, yet rewarding life behind Krishna as she talks honesty and genuinely about her experiences in the sport.
