Our guest today is a virtuosic mandolin player and a renowned singer/songwriter who independently released her debut album at age 10 before signing to renowned Americana label Rounder Records at age 13, and garnering a Billboard Top 10 Bluegrass album, “Secrets”, at age 16.

We talk to Sierra Hull on Season 02, Episode 18.

Hailing from Byrdstown, Tennessee by way of Berklee, backroads bluegrass jams, and iconic venues such as the Grand Ole Opry, Carnegie Hall, and the White House (yes, that White House), Sierra has shared stages with icons such as Alison KraussBéla FleckCory WongDolly PartonBrandi Carlile, and Billy Strings.

Sierra joins us from the road to discuss her brand-new record, cortado art, Sara Bareilles’ “Little Voices,” performing alongside her heroes, and much more.

Her new record, “A Tip Toe High Wire” is her first proper independent release– shedding the skin of her label and past successes to emerge as an all-encompassing, matured version of herself. The new record is available everywhere March 7th, 2025. Find physical copies, tour dates, and more by visiting SierraHull.com. Stay up-to-date by following @SierraDawnHull across social media.
