Our guest today is running from reality… well, he’s not, but his touring schedule might lead you to believe otherwise. He is one of the most prolific touring artists the jam scene has ever seen, frequenting hundreds of theaters and festivals across North America annually. We are of course talking about Keller Williams.
Keller has been writing, recording, and performing music under his own name as well as part of Keller & the Keels, Grateful Grass, Grateful Gospel, KellerGrass, Kwathro, and more since 1991. He has lost count, but has released somewhere in the neighborhood of 28 studio albums and approximately two dozen “official” live records. He recently released his newest LP “Deer.” You can find it on your favorite streaming platform or grab a physical copy at KellerWilliams.net.
In this interview we discuss traveling with a pop-up guitar store, collaboration, traveling light, the Purple Room, tapers, and remaining creatively vibrant after 35 years in the scene.
When you’re done listening to this podcast, get up and go to a show. KW’s 2025 tour continues February 28, 2025 in Ashbary Park, NJ, but we can almost promise he’s coming to your town. Stay up-to-date by following @KellerWilliams across social media.
