Our guest today is the renowned multi-instrumentalist of the anthemic folk group NEEDTOBREATHE turned acoustic balladeer: Josh Lovelace.

Josh’s debut record, “Shelters”, was released in October 2024 to critical and popular acclaim. The son of a Baptist Preacher, Josh’s life in music has been diverse and expansive. 

In this interview we discuss the rewards and challenges of writing solo material, touring with Taylor Swift, the NEEDTOBREATHE origin story, discovering secular music, and keeping honesty at the core of the brand and band.
