Donovan Woods is your favorite songwriter's favorite songwriter. He is also our guest on Season Two, Episode Five of “Load-In Through the Back!”
Since the release of his debut album “The Hold Up” in 2007, Donovan has released seven full-length records, a slew of EP’s, and has been featured prominently on television and in movies such as Numb starring Matthew Perry, Degrassi: the Next Generation, and Rookie Blues. As a writer, he has single cuts with the likes of Tim McGraw and Charles Kelley of Lady A.
His latest record “Things Were Never Good If They’re Not Good Now” is now streaming and available at most independent music retailers. The corresponding headlining tour resumes on January 21st in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada.
Donovan joins us to discuss his creative process, taking beverage carts to the knee, making music for TikTok, face tattoos, how two great songs will put you in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and so much more.
