This week I talk about the fear of booking flights to Afrika.

I’m going to talk about this because at the time of recording this podcast, we are just coming to terms with the terrible tragedy that was the Ethiopian Airline plane crash, that took the lives of 157 people. I am in the UK and just now have to face a decision about booking a flight home to Malawi.

I look at the dilemmas I faced as I thought about which airline I should choose to fly home to Malawi.

I talk about the impact of the fears of family and friends on my decisions about booking my flight home.

I look at how an airline crash can bring out concerns we have about whether Afrika can do the same job as Europe and how we can become desensitised to thinking good things about our own people and our own businesses.

I delve a little bit into airline safety and explain why there’s no such thing as a dangerous airline.

And, finally, I talk about my choice of airline to book to fly to Malawi and why.
