Summary:  Social media provides a means by which everyone can find a group that agrees, supports, and defends one another, while making demands that all conform. Lately, however, it seems that every post is its own group, providing a sense of belonging, identity and security in one’s beliefs at a time when people are feeling insecure about their lives. Christians offer community in place of conformity. Christians offer faith instead of fear. The Bible is the primary means by which God speaks to us. We are invited to open our hearts to receive the gift of faith that draws us from the outside into a community based on the love of God for God’s people that is expressed in love and action for one another and for the world. The Bible is our social media.
