Summary: The world is the way it is because human beings opposed, and continue to oppose, God. Our actions bring evil into the world. God responds with steadfast love and sacrifice, and we act in response to the acts of God in order to make the world more like the already-but-not-yet Kingdom of God, a better country, in accord with God’s will, that is, God’s justice.
