Rita Frazer talks with Gordie Siebring, Gordie and his wife started farming on an Iowa dairy farm in 1981 and by 1993 had sold their cows. That’s when Gordie answered an ad in the newspaper looking for 100 Iowa farmers to travel to the Ukraine for a project headed up by Zenika ICI seed, chemical and equipment. That was a three-week project and Gordie has been there since. Today he is a farmer and works for a used ag equipment business. He shares some of the impact the current conflict is having on the Livestock Industry.
