We set up the DAW to 125 BPM and started making this song from a very minimal drum pattern we previously prepared. We kick off the session recording a bass melody using the Alchemy synthesizer, we then immediately edit the MIDI and put the newly created bass line in the track using sidechain compression. We then create a simple chord using the keys of the melody, we then add a smooth bell pad to mark the changes.
