SUMMARY:
Prayer can only be effective as we reach into the Lord and touch Him. Then you have God working through you to accomplish some aspect of the kingdom or to bring change in some way. In real prayer, we begin to think God's thoughts, to desire the things He desires, to love what He loves. When you do not have a revelation fro the Lord or confirmation, then it is better that you pray in the Holy Spirit by speaking in tongues.
SHOW NOTES:
“For I know the plans that I have for you, “ Declares the Lord, “plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.”
With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view , be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints.
Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving.
In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
“In a certain city there was a judge who did not fear God and did not respect man. There was a widow in that city, and she kept coming to him, saying, 'Give me legal protection from my opponent.' For a while he was unwilling; but afterward he said to himself, 'Even though I do not fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow bothers me, I will give her legal protection, otherwise by continually coming she will wear me out.'
And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge said; now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them? I tell you that He will bring justice for them quickly.”
TAKE AWAY:
Prayer is very important; nothing happens until people pray. God has chosen the channel of prayer to make things move. Christ gave us the Holy Spirit to guide us and teach us to pray. Effective prayer is set to bring God's will into the earth. We are on a path of constantly learning how to pray in the Spirit.
