Summary:
It's God's nature to forgive. When God forgives it's a total thing. He not only forgives us but He forgets the offensive as if it never happened. As we try to forgive others, we find we cannot forgive and forget to the depth that He is requiring. He gave His only begotten Son as the path of forgiveness for us. This all is in the design of God to drive us into Him to appropriate His nature.
Show Notes:
We are to forgive each other as God forgave us. To do this we must appropriate His very nature.
There must be a willingness in our hearts to take on His nature as we lay down our lives.
We should be looking for the fruit of the divine nature in us.
This should create a cry in our hearts that says like David; “Create a clean Heart in me O God.”
Forgiveness drives you into the place of humility.
This is a way of life that God imparts His nature to you.
We must reach into God's nature which is perfection.
Quotes:
It is the very nature of God to forgive, it's His nature.
He wants us to reach out for a revelation that we can receive His nature.
Forgiving is not as difficult as forgetting. And yet, I'm wondering if forgetting isn't apart of forgiving. You can't really totally forgive, until you have forgotten. It takes an impartation from the Father.
Are we willing to put it on? Are we willing to lay down our lives and take it up again, that He offers us.
...are you willing to forgive those so that you can love them? So you can minister to them?
I'm looking for the fruit of the divine nature in me.
Think about those people you forgiven. Are you one with them? Are you really able to literally melt into that person with no walls? That's what I'm looking for.
It takes a death of our old nature, and the appropriation of His nature; where you open your heart and say, “create in me Father, a clean heart.”
"Be perfect, as your Father in heaven is perfect." Now, what does that actually mean? To me, it means God's opened a door for us to reach into that perfection, otherwise, that scripture wouldn't be there.
That's exactly what God wants. He wants us to be exactly like the Lord Jesus. To be perfect, before Him

Matthew 5:48
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Take Away:
God will forgive us as we forgive others. The depth of this is beyond what we can do in our human nature, but He has given us a provision through His Word that we can appropriate His very nature so that we can be perfect as our Heavenly Father is perfect.
