INTRODUCTION:

Worship is a state of heart, not a program. A true believer has lost a lot of his interest in “things.” He puts his focus on the realm that is higher than the senses—the realm of spirit. What emerges in a believer's spirit is the seeking to be in the Lord's presence. He learns that the real thing the Father is seeking is a people who worship in spirit and truth.

SHOW NOTES:

  • Believers are coming to know by revelation that their main purpose in life is to worship the Lord.

  • Worshiping the Lord means walking away from a love of the world that exalts itself above Christ and enthroning Him in all that you do.

  • The Lord brings forth the worship in a believer who has a relationship with Him'

  • It's important to be diligent to break out of ruts and develop an awareness of the Holy Spirit leading each day.

  • Drawing His presence into everything you do is freeing and can be creative.

  • A big part of the heart of worship is being thankful.

  • Christ was worship to the Father; the Body of Christ is to follow His example.

QUOTATIONS:

  • Worship is not singing songs; it is absolutely coming into His presence with that in our hearts and giving Him the honor, giving Him the glory, giving Him the praise.

  • When you worship, or you respect somebody, you usually lay down your thoughts and your ways when you come in their presence, because you're honoring them.

  • You can get up in the morning, set your spirit in worship, and it will affect everything you do all day long.

  • I believe that as spiritual beings, if we start our day the way that He intends for us to start it, we will live in the Spirit continually throughout the day.

  • When you're crazy in love, who do you talk about? The one you love!

  • Worship is who I am, not what I do, and so, if that 's true as we go through our days, everything can be worship.

  • We have the true worship residing within us.

REFERENCES:

Psalm 34:1-3

I will bless the Lord at all times;

His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

My soul will make its boasts in the Lord;

The humble will hear it and rejoice.

O magnify the Lord with me

And let us exalt His name together.

I John 2:27

As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.

Luke 3; 21-22

Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus was also baptized, and while He was praying, heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form lie a dive, and a voice came out of heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased.”

Matthew 17: 2,5

And He was transfigured before them; and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as light...While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold a voice out of the cloud said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased, listen to Him.”

John 4:23-24

But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
