James Woody is passionately committed to the creation and development of transformative opportunities for youth and families in under-resourced communities. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Sutton Scholars High School Enrichment Program, an initiative of the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland aimed at supporting Baltimore City High School students in their efforts to develop the confidence, competence and character they need to achieve success in high school, post-secondary educational environments and their chosen careers. James formerly served as the founding Executive Director of the Bishop John T. Walker School for Boys in Washington, DC.
In addition to his work at Sutton Scholars, James serves on the governing board of the Washington National Cathedral, and is an independent director of IDW Media Holdings, a publisher of graphic novels and comic books including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Sonic the Hedgehog, and John Lewis’ March.
