Illinois roads buckling under extreme heat

Paul Wappel, Public Information Officer at IDOT, joins Lisa Dent to discuss how the heat wave lead to roads buckling through out the Chicago area. Over prolonged periods of extreme heat, Wappel explains, the pavement expands, and when there is no more room for expansion, the roads buckle. He encourages people to call authorities when they might encounter these instances.
